What to do in Havana
HavanaCuba’s capital is now a blend of both old and new architecture although you could be stepping back 60 – 70 years when the pristine 1950s American cars parade along the main road. In homage to its colourful history, Murals of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro adorn the walls of the main square. Salsa and jazz music are everywhere and small distilleries sit beside rooms where Cuban cigars are still tightly rolled by hand. The novelist Ernest Hemingway came to Havana for a weekend and stayed for 20 years. It’s easy to see why.
