Antarctica Sea Life

It is never guaranteed that you will see a whale but with Orca, Blue Whales, Minke, Humpback and Sei Sperm abundant in this region the odds are high.
​Albatross, Skua, Petrels, Shearwaters and Terns all grace the skies as you cruise along.

Antarctica Wildlife

Penguins are inquisitive animals and if you have the patience and sit quietly, they will come and peck at your boots.  Look out for: Chinstraps will make you smile as it looks like they’re busy plotting in groups, Gentoos will have you in stitches as they go about stealing pebbles from each other’s nests, Kings who wander around slapping each other in the face seemingly for fun.  Don't forget the Seals, Furs, Elephant Seals, &  Leopard ​Seals.

Cruises options

Most operators leave from either Ushuaia (Argentina) or Punta Arenas (Chile). this option takes 2 days longer than flying and requires the navigation of the notorious Drake Passage*. 
Flights leave Punta Arenas, (Chile), and arrive at King George Island.
It is possible to cruise one way and fly the other.
* In the words of the Latin America Tourism Authority:
