Hattes BeachHattes Beach should probably be called Hatch beach as it is the world’s most important nesting site for leatherback turtles. Visit between April and July to see these majestic animals lay their eggs before heading out to sea. Soon to be joined by thousands of newly hatched babies who make the perilous dash to the water and for some, adulthood. 
Korou Space Centre Being close to the Equator, it takes less effort to launch craft into space from the Korou Space Centre than from other locations. As well as launching satellites, Korou Space Centre is the main supply depot for the International Space Station. The Space Museum is open to the public on days when rocket launches are not taking place.
